The Ensemble vocal Massawippi (EVM)’s musical director, Lise Gardner, recently presented a cheque for $2,000 to Christiane Veilleux, representative of the Canadian Red Cross, to support the organization’s emergency response for Ukraine.
The EVM pledged to make a donation to the Ukraine Emergency Program during their “Concert for Peace” on May 7 at the St-Benoît-du Lac Abbey.
The next EVM concert will take place on Saturday Oct. 22, 2022 at 2:30 p.m., again at the St-Benoît-du Lac Abbey, and will have the theme: “Beethoven at the Abbey”, this concert will be given as part of the 110th anniversary of the foundation of the Abbey.
