The Point hosts maple taste test at Square Queen

How good are your maple taste buds?

Can you taste the difference between light syrup and dark?

Could you tell if the sap was collected with tubes or buckets?

Does maple syrup from different areas taste different?

Are you just looking for an excuse to indulge in the sweetest treat the Townships has to offer?

Well then, come on down to Square Queen in Lennoxville on Saturday, April 22 and let the young reporters of The Point put your taste buds to the test.

Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. locals are invited to participate in a blind taste test featuring maple syrup provided by producers from four different areas in the Townships.

The Point’s reporters will be on hand to record the results of the taste test. They will also tap locals for their favourite maple recipes, ask participants to share some fond maple memories, and get the details about how the sugaring season was this year.

What better way to cap off the season than a maple tasting celebration?

In addition to the maple taste test, there will be a maple quiz, and prizes will be awarded to the winners.
