The little town of Stanbridge East’s population nearly doubled on Sunday afternoon on September 16th during the 36th annual Apple Pie Festival. For only ten $10 pie and ice cream and a drink could be had. The admission price also included a visit to the museum, a ride on a horse drawn wagon, and entrance to the Old Hodge General store. Various booths and yard sales added to the atmosphere of the town. Underneath the tent near the museum live music was played all afternoon as the slices of pie were served.  In total 275 pies were prepared for the event. Of those, over 200 were served during the festival, while the rest were sold whole. See full story in the Tuesday, September 18 editon of the Brome County News.
