The Lennoxville District Women’s Centre unveiled the finished product of its community mosaic project on Monday night as a part of this year’s candlelight vigil in honor of victims of gender-based violence. The artwork is made up of 54 panels created by local community members during this year’s 12 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence as an act of solidarity and healing with victims and survivors.
The vigil was originally meant to take place in the Square Queen outdoor space in Lennoxville, but was moved indoors to the Amédée-Beaudoin Community Centre on account of the heavy rain and winds on Monday night. Despite the change in location, about 20 people turned out to the event.
