Cyclists in Sherbrooke and Magog now have the option to store their bicycles in lockers that protect from bad weather and theft.
Located on rue Meadow, near rue Wellington North, Sherbrooke has two bicycle “stations” with six lockers each, open for public use until the end of October 2022. Cyclists have the option to store their bikes for hours, days, or even months. “Located in a key location, these secure and easy-to-use bike stations are easily accessible due to their location near bike paths,” said Marc Denault, President of the Société de transport de Sherbrooke (STS). Along with Ville de Sherbrooke, STS collaborated with Vélo-Transit to bring the bicycle stations to the city. Cyclists can use the Vélo-Transit mobile phone app for booking, locking, and unlocking.
