Bishop’s University basketball aims for RSEQ playoffs

By Emilie Hackett, Special to the Record – It was Seniors Night for the Gaiters in Mitchell Gym on Feb. 16 as the men and women’s basketball teams faced Concordia. The men’s team won 70-68 in a thrilling last-minute play, while women’s team met a different fate, losing 78-54. Alexander Galt Regional High School’s concentrations programs were also honoured to highlight the partnership between the local high school and the university for its facilities, as performing arts students Mariah Sheldon and Amelia Viscogliosi sang the national anthem. The Galt Piper band also performed a halftime show and the Sports concentration logo was revealed and hung in Mitchell Gym. See full story in the Monday, Feb. 18 edition of The Record.
