The City of Sherbrooke unveiled its plans for the 2021 construction season on Tuesday, announcing 61 projects covering road work and subterranean infrastructure projects, for an investment of $40.9 million.
According to Caroline Gravel, the Director of the city’s urban infrastructure division, this year’s plan features fewer individual projects in order to increase the likelihood of getting them all done within the season, and also in recognition of the fact that several of the projects are larger than ones undertaken in 2020.
“All sectors of the territory will be affected by these public works and road users will have to be vigilant, but six projects in particular could further disrupt the habits of the population,” Gravel said.
