In the absence of the annual giant pumpkin festival normally held in Lennoxville in the fall, it’s safe to say Steve Young remains the reigning champion until the festival resumes.
The last time it was held (pre-pandemic), Young won with a pumpkin weighing in at around 1,400 pounds.
He clearly decided to keep honing his growing skills.
This 1,016-pound monster came from his garden this year, and is currently for sale at MacDonald’s Farm.
Anyone interested in some last-minute Halloween décor can swing by the farm, located at 696 MacDonald Road between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. this Saturday.
The price is negotiable, but for obvious reasons, delivery is not included.
