The city of Magog announced it will hold a public consultation on Nov. 1 to discuss the possibility of amending certain zoning bylaws to stop primary residences from turning into short-term rental properties.
The massive consultation project is in response to the Quebec government passing Bill 67. The provincial law will come into effect starting March 25, 2023. It will give Quebecers permission to turn their primary residence into a short-term rental — or a period of less than 31 days.
