National Sport and Physical Activity Day on May 2

As part of the 2022 edition of National Sports and Physical Activity Day which will take place on Monday, May 2, the Minister of Education and Minister responsible for the Status of Women, Brome-Missisquoi MNA Isabelle Charest, is inviting the population to discover or rediscover the pleasure of getting moving. Under the theme ‘Choose your playground’, the day of recognition is a golden opportunity for Quebecers to practice physical activities, sports and outdoor activities in good company.

“The beneficial effects of physical, sport and recreational activities on health and well-being are no longer in question,” Charest said in a statement. “Whether it’s to enjoy nature, to challenge yourself, to see friends or simply for fun, there are many reasons to get moving. And what an incredible feeling it gives! Let’s take advantage of the spring awakening in May to remind ourselves how much fun it is to be physically active and to maintain this lifestyle all year long,” the MNA said.
