The Lennoxville Library’s foreshadow event for the annual Canada Reads competition took place on Wednesday night at the Hope Community Church, with participants selecting Scarborough by Catherine Hernandez as the book best fitting the theme of “one book to connect us.” The book was defended by Mary Sweeny (second from the left), who won out against presentations by Jamie Crooks, Mary Purkey, Vicky Boldo and Jesse Dymond.
The official Canada Reads debates will take place next week, March 28-31, on CBC radio and television.
