Sherbrooke Phoenix launches Leucan Shaved Head Challenge

The Sherbrooke Phoenix Hockey Club has begun the third edition of its Leucan Shaved Head Challenge presented by PROXIM. Five players from the team will put their heads up for prizes on Saturday, March 17, during the last game in the regular season at the Leopold-Drolet Sports Center. The players, Kolby Johnson, Félix Robert, Jaxon Bellamy, Samuel Poulin, and Alexandre Joncas will mobilize in support of young people with cancer.
The Phoenix organization has been involved with Leucan since 2015, and has donated nearly $11,000 so far. This year’s goal is $4,500 from the generosity of fans. The public can donate online now via the Challenge webpage.
For this edition of the Challenge, fans are invited to take part by registering on the website tetesrasees.com. The minimum age to participate is seven-years-old.
This year, the organization wants to mark the end of the regular season with a gesture of sympathy and on March 17, fans will be able to cheer on their favorite players during the game against the Val-d’Or Foreurs.
The Phoenix is also partnering with Leucan’s brand new awareness campaign for its 40th Quebec-wide anniversary celebration under the theme ‘the Defenders.’
