Sherbrooke receives $1.2 million for  downtown revitalization

Sherbrooke is one of 19 cities across Quebec that will be able to benefit from $25 million in government aid money announced on Thursday for the revitalization of downtown areas hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Other nearby cities like Granby, Drummondville, and Victoriaville also feature on the list of beneficiaries.
“The Ministry made the decision to confer these budgetary envelopes to municipalities directly, as they are better placed to make decisions about how to reimagine their downtown spaces,” said Lucie Lecours, Quebec’s Minister for the Economy.
