US Midterms leave Townships Americans anxious

Our neighbour to the south voted in its bi-yearly midterm elections, where President Joe Biden’s party held surprisingly firm for an incumbent party in American midterms, which have historically resulted in devastating losses for the President’s party. Every two years, Americans go to the polls to vote for their representatives in the House, as well as for some of the Senate. Known as “midterms”, they can decide control of both houses of Congress and determine the fate of a President’s agenda. Additionally, many referendums and state-level elections are held that determine similar control of the 50 state governments that make up the United States of America.
