Lennoxville residents express concerns about park safety, trucks

The borough of Lennoxville’s last council meeting before breaking for the summer focused largely on two issues coming out of the question period.
The first of two questions came from the residents in the View Point neighbourhood asking for more action on the park in that part of the community. Following up on concerns expressed during the June 28 meeting, the request was made that signs underlining the fact that smoking, vaping, and use of cannabis on park land (including the forest) is prohibited be installed at all access points from the Alexander Galt campus sometime before the start of the next school year.
Borough President Claude Charron responded to this by reiterating the fact that the borough has a plan to install an official walking trail in the area and that the installation of proper signage will be a part of that process.
“That’s coming up,” Charron said, “we’re in planning mode.”
