The Colby Curtis Museum is opening the doors to its brand new Let Me Tell You A Story exhibit on June 21, featuring the accounts of 21 residents of Stanstead County who lived there in the early-to-mid 20th century.
Extracted from 30 hours of recordings with testimonies from the residents, the exhibit offers visitors a chance to sit down and hear an informal account of the area’s history from those who lived and breathed it.
According to curator Vicky Chainey Gagnon, The exhibition is the brainchild of Kathy Curtis, the museum’s archivist and Marguerite Dunlop, a longtime teacher who is retired and volunteered her time to record the oral histories.
